Well Burrhead, actually not very long. That's just the way I think. I understand that just because I believe something doesn't mean that the majority or anything have to agree with it or that I'm necessarily right or that they are wrong.
For example, you know when Food City bought out Piggy Wiggly and starting selling beer. It was a great sin among several of the churches in the Clintwood area. How horrible, alcohol in our grocery store. These were the same people who had no problem buying there gas at every Double Kwik or the 83 or wherever else. I think I counted it one time, there was like 3-4 gas stations in Dickenson County that had gas without serving alcohol. The very same people who protested that Food City, who invested their money, had the right to do as they felt best served their interest have no problem with the oil business or such making their money because they invest it and had no problem buying there gas off someone who made a good portion of their money off alcohol sales. Like I told a few before, heck Food City serving it was the best thing in the world, because you made a lot more people uncomfortable buying their alcohol where someone from their church could see them, than the people who would run in the side door of the Orbit or pull into the 83 at 1155 (back when they didn't close). Just because they have it, doesn't mean you have to go buy it. Having an ABC store in Clintwood doesn't create more drinkers or people who are drunkards, it just means that more of the people from their churches or people they try to put a good impression for have a chance to see them and embarass them. Is it going to stop them? No its not, but it might discourage them from going in as regularly, don't want such and such to see you walking out of their 5 days in a row with a 5th.
I always go like this, even if you're religious, God gives you a choice. I mean he could force you to do right afterall, but he gives you the choice, freedom of action. So if God gives you that, why should man be all limiting?
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

You just make some of your biased opinions very obvious sometimes, well like all of us do. I'm republican, was brought up in a divided political family as you well know. I love to jump on every democratic blunder as you do George Bush. But I know and you know all this political crap is getting old. They all lie and quite a few are homosexuals and make a mockery out of society. I know you were raised in a very one-sided political family and believe it or not it shows a whole lot. Not that that is a terrible thing, but the way you fence straddle the issues is funny sometimes. You know I like you alot, but you crack me up sometimes. Excellent. But with that freedom. Are we not creating something we now cannot control. We say we have a right. So now it become justified no matter what.
Not meaning to start anything. Just trying to add to the conversation.
Have we found freedom. Or introduced new areas of controversy. As with anything there is controversy. However, is our freedom a right to open the door till it becomes an issue the courts decide on.
